Each Month we like to give back to different Charities/Causes. We have jean Fridays where all of our service providers who wear jeans donate $5 towards the causes of that month. If you ever would like to donated to any of the months causes we are more then happy to take your donation and turn it in with ours at the end of the month.
Children With Hair Loss was created as a resource for ALL CHILDREN who have medically-related hair loss. It is their mission to empower these children to become whole again by making hair replacement available to those who may be financially challenged and might otherwise not have a means of obtaining the hair they want and need.
Their goal is to assist as many of these children as possible in changing their lives by improving their outlook and empowering them with a degree of self-confidence that will allow them to face the world with renewed self-esteem.
We are available to do donation haircuts anytime, however, at the end of every August, we host a Cut-A-Thon, giving complimentary haircuts to anyone willing to donate 8 inches of hair or more.
“Pumpkins for Kids” Project
In October, Gallagher Titan hosted Richmond’s “Pumpkins for Kids” Project benefiting the Children’s Hospital Foundation. Over thirty local businesses competed to decorate the most creative and unique pumpkins. Employees used their imaginations and incorporated paint, glitter, recycled electronic parts, googly eyes, cotton balls and more to create stunning masterpieces. With the help of Gallagher Titan employees and many other local businesses, dozens of children throughout Richmond hospitals received decorated pumpkins to brighten their Halloweens. Winning pumpkins were delivered to the Children’s Hospital Foundation, Chippenham Hospital Pediatrics Unit, Bon Secours Hanover Pediatrics, and Westminister Canterbury. This program has provided hundreds of pumpkins to young patients over the last several years, and is something that families and hospital staff now look forward to each Halloween. Hospital care for children costs an average of $550 per child per day, and most children spend an average of five years in the hospital.
